Hi, I’m Ed the resident economist here at Opes Partners. Day to day, I help New Zealanders understand why property is such a great solution to our retirement problem.

I love my job because of its variety, one morning I’ll be writing a new education seminar, and the next I’m reading reports and keeping up to date with economic changes so that the team know where the best opportunities are.

As well as economics, I have a background in the performing arts, so in my spare time love going to art galleries, musicals and shows.

Hi I’m Andrew, a managing partner here at Opes. Ever since we started the company, I’ve spent my time working between our three offices, and out with clients, getting them excited about investing.

I bought my first property at age 19, and built my own portfolio with what my friends describe as my signature “passion, drive, and refusal to quit.”

I love helping ordinary Kiwis and seeing their lives transform as property helps them realise their dreams – for me this is the best job in the world.

I don’t have a lot of spare time, but I love to spend it socialising with friends and family.

I’m a keen art collector – one of my most interesting pieces is a taxidermy sculpture from a Lyttelton artist who merged a Lynx cat and goat to create a mythical beast.
